Discontinuing FREE Monitoring: Upgrade to PLUS or INSIGHTS

We are gradually phasing out our free website speed monitoring service. Since the inception of PageSpeed.ONE, our mission has been not only to serve our clients but also to promote the importance of performance measurement.

Our professional monitoring is now available under the PLUS brand, and you can now conduct one-time tests with INSIGHTS.

If you need to retain your data, transition to PLUS monitoring by 1 September 2026 to ensure uninterrupted measurement.

Why FREE Monitoring is Ending#

We aim to be transparent and explain the reasons behind this change, not just announce it:

• The FREE monitoring was initially created as a free speed monitoring service so anyone could keep an eye on their site's speed.
• In practice, most people use it sporadically – a quick "let's see how the site is doing". This is precisely what Insights is for today.
• The quality of FREE measurements was less than ideal as it relied on the PageSpeed Insights API. Our PLUS service uses our own, significantly more stable synthetic measurements – learn more about how we measure.
• Operating a free monitoring service is not without its financial implications.

You may also be interested to know that we are preparing a new, more affordable plan focused mainly on data from the Chrome UX Report. Details will be announced in due course – follow our newsletter or social media for updates.

What to Do Next#

Depending on how you handle speed, we offer two clear paths.

Regular Monitoring? Choose PLUS Monitoring#

If you want to keep a long-term check on your speed, which we highly recommend, PLUS monitoring is the solution. It measures entry pages daily, monitors deterioration with a Watchdog, and provides specific improvement tips.

Compared to FREE, it offers more stable and accurate measurements you can rely on when evaluating changes.

And the monthly trial is now free for everyone.

The transition is swift, and if you do it before 1 September 2026, your measurements will continue seamlessly.

One-Time Speed Test? PageSpeed.ONE Insights#

When you just need to quickly check the current state of your website, use Insights. Enter a URL and immediately see how you're doing – no need to set up monitoring.

Insights is the perfect replacement for those who used FREE monitoring sporadically for one-off tests. Simply run a one-time measurement and see the results instantly.

What will happen to my existing FREE monitorings?#

They will continue to function and collect new data until 1 September 2026. From 1 September 2026, we will stop collecting new data, and from 1 October 2026, FREE monitorings will disappear entirely from dashboards.

Will historical data be available?#

No. Historical data from FREE monitoring is regularly deleted (roughly twice a year), and after 1 October 2026, it will no longer be available in dashboards.

However, this data comes from Google's Chrome UX Report, so it can be obtained by other means.

Who does this change affect?#

All users of FREE monitoring. It does not affect the paid PLUS monitoring, which continues unchanged.

Your teams and user accounts will remain unaffected.
