Measurement History (Log)
Our long-term goal is to visualize everything happening on your website concerning speed. The new Measurement History is designed for just that.
Measurement History represents the fusion of previous notes and newly displayed synthetic measurements into a single view. This feature applies only to PLUS tests.
What will you see in this view?
These updates (manual measurements, more times, faster start) are described in the changelog for release 4.10.
New measurement history table.
- The table displays a list of Measurements (regular or manual synthetic measurements), Notes (own or system notes in graphs), with the ability to switch between these content types.
- Above the table on the right, you can initiate a manual synthetic measurement (currently in beta) or add a note.
- Each row can be clicked to open a modal window with the measurement or note details.
- System entries are added automatically, whereas those marked with the author's name can be edited.
- For measurements where a significant change in the Lighthouse score is observed compared to the original state, we also add color coding.
In the measurement detail, you can view individual Lighthouse measurement details or the Lighthouse Diff, for comparison purposes. More about notes in graphs can be found in a separate guide.
Manual Measurements (beta)
On the Measurement History page, you can now initiate manual measurements.
You can perform your own measurements anytime outside regular measurements. This is useful for testing changes in development versions or post-deployment testing.
Once the measurement is complete (it might take about 15–20 minutes), we will send you an email.
Measurement detail – name, Lighthouse tests, diff, and option to add a note.
What can you see in the measurement detail? (See image above)
- The measurement name, which you choose yourself.
- Specific Lighthouse tests and Lighthouse Diff.
- The option to add a note to the graph for this measurement.
This feature is in beta testing. If you are interested, write to info@pagespeed.cz.
